Dear NIRI Charlotte Chapter Members and Friends,
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and that you are enjoying the early days of fall.
This Wednesday, we will launch our 2021-2022 program year with our NIRI Charlotte 2021 Kick Off Social at STIR in South End. The event starts at 5:30pm and will be hosted on STIR’s covered patio outside. We hope you will be able to join us!
And speaking of kicking off the program year, I am thrilled to introduce you to your 2021-2022 NIRI Charlotte Chapter Board, made up of dedicated professionals who have generously volunteered their time and knowledge to our Chapter:

- Vice President and Programs Chair, President Elect: Chase Jacobson, Managing Director, Vallum Advisors
- Treasurer: Paul Clegg, Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications, SPX Corporation
- Membership Chair: Jeffrey Schnell, Director, Investor Relations and M&A, Vontier
- Communications Chair: Meredith Bandy, Vice President, Investor Relations and Sustainability, Albemarle Corporation
- At-Large: Jim Ryan, Sr. Director, Investor Relations, Curtiss-Wright Corporation
- At-Large: Sharon McGee, President, SDBM Strategic Advisory
- At-Large: Roy Granato, Jr., President, Granato Creative Group
In addition, I’d like to thank Sharon McGee for serving as our past Chapter President and for her continued involvement and support as an at-large member of our Board. Sharon led us through a very challenging year as we navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are incredibly grateful for her leadership.
Looking at the upcoming program year, there are three primary objectives that will be the driving force behind our Board:
- Providing learning and networking opportunities to our membership that are focused on best practices, current trends, and the future of the IR profession
- Hosting events and providing programs that serve the needs of our members and promote high-quality connections
- Continuing to expand our membership and encourage member participation within Charlotte and the surrounding areas
Following our social this week, we are planning several thought-provoking events to ensure you are well informed on important trends and best practices affecting investor relations. We will also continue to host networking events that promote connection and knowledge sharing among our membership. Additionally, we are excited to announce that this year we plan to host a service event for our Chapter to give back to our Charlotte area community.
We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks and months related to these exciting programs!
